Condor Airlines will relocate its Frankfurt operations to the airport’s new Terminal 3 beginning in summer 2027.

The move was announced during a joint event at Frankfurt Airport by Condor and airport operator Fraport AG. Both organizations said the transition underscores a shared focus on sustainable growth, continued investment and the long-term development of Frankfurt as a leading aviation and business hub for the Rhine-Main region.

“With our planned move to the state-of-the-art Terminal 3 in summer 2027, we are consistently continuing on our future-oriented path,” said Peter Gerber, CEO of Condor. “Following the successful renewal of our fleet and the strategic evolution of our brand, we are now investing in our infrastructure as well – just in time for Condor’s 70th anniversary. The modern environment of T3 provides ideal conditions for further growth, operational stability, and a premium travel experience for our guests. At the same time, this decision is a clear commitment to Frankfurt as a location and to the economic strength of the region.”

With the addition of Terminal 3, Frankfurt Airport is expanding overall capacity while strengthening its competitive position among global hub airports. Condor’s decision to operate from the new terminal is expected to support long-term value creation and employment, both within flight operations and across supplier networks, service providers and the tourism sector.

“We are delighted that Condor, the second-largest airline in Frankfurt, intends to continue its growth story at Terminal 3 starting in summer 2027,” said Dr. Stefan Schulte, CEO of Fraport AG. “The new terminal offers excellent conditions for this. This includes state-of-the-art technology throughout and streamlined processes – from check-in and baggage drop counters to CT scanners at security checkpoints.”

Schulte also noted the terminal’s numerous comfort areas in the central marketplace, at the gates, and in the lounges complete the overall product offering, as well as short walking distances and excellent accessibility. The terminal also incorporates cutting-edge handling technology, optimized apron connections and environmental and sustainability standards aligned with the aviation industry’s long-term transformation goals.
