Nevis Tourism Authority
“I am honoured to be appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Nevis Tourism Authority and continue sharing what makes Nevis special with visitors from all over the world”

The Caribbean island of Nevis has appointed travel industry veteran Devon Liburd as Chief Executive Officer of the Nevis Tourism Authority (NTA).

Liburd, who took over the reins on July 1, had been serving as interim CEO since February 2022. He has worked for the NTA since its inception in 2001. Prior to his new role, he served as a tourism officer for the Department of Tourism, Nevis, and is credited with helping to develop the island’s tourism industry throughout the years by working in every area of tourism. He also helped implement the Caribbean Tourism Organisation Management Information Systems for Tourism (CTO MIST), a tourism statistics program introduced for the turn of the new millennium, and coordinated the Small Tourism Enterprise Program (STEP), a project from the Organisation of the American States (OAS) designed to develop small tourism enterprises to become more competitive in the tourism industry.

I am honoured to be appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Nevis Tourism Authority and continue sharing what makes Nevis special with visitors from all over the world,” said Liburd. “There is much work that needs to be done to ensure that Nevis is positioned as a top choice on the minds of all travellers. Thus, with the support of all Nevis stakeholders, the NTA Board and staff members, I will make sure that we accomplish this.

At this time, all international travellers ages 18 years and older must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to enter the island of Nevis. For details about Nevis’ entry requirements, go to nevisisland.com/travel-requirements/.
