News / Arajet ranks as the third airline with the most passengers transported in the Dominican Republic during the Q3 of 2025
Arajet transported 354,437 passengers between July and September 2025.

Arajet, the Dominican airline, closed the third quarter of 2025 as the third airline with the highest number of passengers transported during that period, surpassed only by the U.S. carriers JetBlue and American Airlines, and ahead of Delta, United, and Copa.
The data, published in the Dynamic Data Visualization System of the Civil Aviation Board (JAC) website, shows that the Dominican airline transported 354,437 passengers between July and September 2025.
With these consolidated figures, Arajet accounted for 7.3% of the total passengers entering and leaving the country, according to official data from the JAC.
Arajet executives confirmed that, in addition to the official JAC figures, the airline transported over 60,000 passengers on international connections during the same period, surpassing the 400,000-passenger mark for the quarter. This represents more than 9% of the total passengers traveling through Dominican airports.
This quarter has been the most successful in the airline’s three years of operations, due in part to its entry into the U.S. market and the expansion of its Boeing 737 MAX 8 fleet with two new aircraft.
So far this year, Arajet’s top destinations have been Medellín (over 95,000 passengers), Bogotá (92,000), Mexico City (over 79,000), Buenos Aires (nearly 77,000), and Lima (64,000), according to official JAC data.
Arajet recently announced that in October it will launch a new route connecting Punta Cana and Orlando, followed in November by flights from Santo Domingo to Boston and from Punta Cana to Chicago. Due to strong demand in Argentina, the airline will also add direct flights from Santo Domingo to Buenos Aires and from Punta Cana to Córdoba starting in December.
