The Walt Disney Company shared new details about the next wave of ships coming down the pipeline for Disney Cruise Line, at this past weekend’s D23 event

The Walt Disney Company shared new details about the next wave of ships coming down the pipeline for Disney Cruise Line, at this past weekend’s D23 event.

D23, the multi-day expo for everything Disney, D23 – the ‘23’ is for 1923, the year Walt Disney founded the company – takes place in Anaheim every two years.

As reported earlier this month, Disney Believe will be the fourth ship in the cruise line’s Wish class, following in the wake of Disney Wish, Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny.

After Disney Believe’s launch in late 2027, Disney Cruise Line will debut its as-yet-unnamed 11th and 12th ships in 2029, and a 13th ship in 2030.

Claire Weiss, Portfolio Executive Creative Director for Disney Cruise Line, said these 3 new ships will introduce an entirely new class to the fleet and occupy a unique place in Disney Cruise Line’s growing lineup, according to the official Disney Parks Blog.

The 3 new ships will be positioned in size between Disney’s classic ships and its newer vessels. The new ships are “right in the middle of our classic ships and our newer ones. That gives us some amazing opportunities to visit new places and reach brand new audiences we haven’t before,” said Weiss.

Additional D23 updates for the parks and more can be found here.
