Emerald Cruises is marking a major milestone year with the launch of its newest superyacht, Emerald Kaia, alongside the successful river trials of its latest Star-Ship, Emerald Astra.

Emerald Kaia recently completed its transit through the Red Sea and Suez Canal before embarking on its inaugural sailing from Limassol, signalling the next phase of the brand’s yacht cruising expansion.

The debut comes as Emerald Astra prepares to join the fleet in May 2026, sailing on major European waterways including the Rhine River, Main River and Danube River.

Onboard features

Culinary offerings onboard Emerald Kaia include multiple dining venues, such as La Cucina, which features an open-plan kitchen, and Soleá Bar & Bistro, offering Mediterranean-inspired cuisine in a relaxed setting with panoramic sea views. The Night Market Grill provides a more intimate, private dining experience inspired by Asian street food culture.

Wellness is also a key focus, with a redesigned Wellness Deck featuring salt therapy lounges, a cold plunge pool and a full-service spa. Fitness and relaxation spaces are integrated throughout the ship, alongside a Marina Platform for direct access to the water.

Suites feature floor-to-ceiling windows, with new interconnecting configurations designed to accommodate families and groups while maintaining privacy.

Fleet expansion

Emerald Kaia will be joined by additional superyachts in the coming years, including Emerald Raiya in 2027 and Emerald Xara in 2028, expanding the fleet to five, alongside Emerald Azzurra and Emerald Sakara, with sailings across the Mediterranean, Caribbean and Seychelles.

At the same time, the river cruise fleet continues to grow. Emerald Astra’s upcoming debut will be followed by Emerald Lumi on the Seine River and Emerald Nova on Portugal’s Douro Valley in 2027.
