Both Emerald Cruises and Scenic are sharing new details about their 2024 European river cruise programs.

Here’s a look …

Emerald Cruises

Emerald Cruises’ 2024 Europe river cruise collection includes a selection of Epic Voyages – multi-river itineraries up to 23 days in length, perfect for travellers looking to maximize vacation time – and two new sailings that offer fresh takes on Europe’s most popular rivers.

Details are available in the line’s newest brochure, available for download and mail-out. Travel agents can also order brochures at envoynetworks.ca.

The new brochure price grids include special Early Booking Promotions valid until July 31, 2023. The Super Earlybird offer includes return international airfare on sailings of eight-days or longer plus savings of up to $2,600 per couple on select sailings. Clients can book the eight-day Danube Explorer including return international airfare from Cdn$4,740 per person.

The Danube River, a longtime favourite for river cruisers, gets a reboot with Emerald Cruises’ new 10-day Danube Explorer & Highlights of Budapest. Clients can also add an extended stay in Budapest. The second new itinerary for 2024 is the 11-day Rhine Castles & Moselle Vineyards.

The latest brochure also put a strong focus on Emerald Cruises’ four Epic Voyages, which range in duration from 15 to 23 days. These sailings are a combination of the line’s best-selling river cruise itineraries placed back-to-back to create a longer trip, either on the same ship or with a short flight or coach trip to embark a new vessel halfway through. One example, the ‘15-day Rhine & Rhône Rivers’ itinerary links two of Emerald Cruises’ most popular sailings – Jewels of the Rhine and Sensations of Lyon & Provence – into one voyage with a seamless transfer between ships.

Scenic

Knowing that planning and booking vacations early often results in the best rates, more choices of cabins, and better airfares, Scenic unveiled its 2024 European River Cruise offerings earlier this year.

Leading the way are two new itineraries – a 10-day Danube in Depth and the 11-day Iconic Danube with Prague. Details are now available in a new 84-page brochure available at scenic.ca/brochures.

Scenic is offering savings of up to Cdn$1,000 per couple and free Premium Economy or free/reduced Economy airfare.

For clients looking to go to France in 2024, Scenic notes that it’s even more important to book early as 2024 promises to be a busy year, with both the 80th anniversary of D-Day and the 2024 Paris Olympics. The eight-day Highlights of Normandy & the Seine is ideal for learning the history and importance of the D-Day landings in Normandy, and taking in the beauty of the countryside along the Seine River. Scenic offers two-and three-night Paris extensions.

In total Scenic offers 12 different city stays and extensions, available to augment nearly every itinerary. The five-day Ljubljana & Zagreb extends several itineraries including the 14-day Jewels of Europe and takes in the natural beauty of Slovenia and Croatia. Three nights in either Lisbon or Madrid allow for exploration of the culture and styles of two capital cities before or after sailing on the Douro.

Scenic’s offerings are enhanced by its Scenic Freechoice and Scenic Enrich options.

For clients looking to spend even more time exploring Europe, Scenic also has Ultimate River Cruise Combinations, combining some of the cruise line’s most popular itineraries to create the ultimate vacation experience. These include the 23-day North Sea to Black Sea, and the 21-day Gems of the Seine & Unforgettable Douro. A total of six offerings run from 21 to 23 days.
