Aer Lingus
Customers in Cork can also enjoy the expansion of the airline’s popular route to Prague to a year-round service

Aer Lingus is gearing up for a busy summer 2026 schedule from Cork Airport, including two brand new European routes to Nice and Santiago de Compostela, as well as the expansion of services to Prague and Glasgow.

Aer Lingus Regional, exclusively operated by Emerald Airlines, announces an increase in its capacity on the carrier’s popular service to Glasgow.  From 25th May 2026, the Glasgow route will increase from 4 to 6 weekly flights, with additional services on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Summer is the ideal time to visit Glasgow, as the city’s vibrant music scene, historic buildings, and outdoor events highlight the best of Scottish hospitality.

Aer Lingus has also expanded its European network from Cork with the introduction of new routes to Nice and Santiago de Compostela, beginning May 2 and June 1, respectively. In addition, the airline has extended its Prague service—previously offered only in winter – to operate year-round. These new options build on Aer Lingus’ popular services to destinations including Malaga, Tenerife, Lanzarote, Faro, Palma de Mallorca, Bilbao, Bordeaux, and London Heathrow.

Aer Lingus Regional’s Bristol route will also continue to operate daily, with two flights operating on Mondays and Fridays. From live music and theatre performances to food markets and riverside activities, Bristol’s iconic harbourside and vibrant streets offer a rich mix of experiences for visitors of all ages and interests

Aer Lingus recently announced the extension of its current 10kg carry-on baggage policy across all Aer Lingus Regional flights, operated by Emerald Airlines, effective from 3rd March 2026.  This means customers who book a Plus or Advantage fare with Aer Lingus or Aer Lingus Regional enjoy a free 10kg carry-on bag, no matter the destination. Customers who book a Saver fare can pay to take a bag on board or simply check it into the hold for free. AerClub members will also have their baggage benefits extended across the Aer Lingus Regional network.
