German National Tourist Board
Campaign features many ideas for sustainable travel

Germany is increasingly recognized internationally as a sustainable destination. In the SDG Index, which measures 193 countries’ progress in reaching the UN’s climate targets, Germany climbed from six to fourth place in 2023. According to an analysis by IPK International conducted in September 2022, potential visitors rank Germany third in a comparison of 27 destinations when it comes to sustainability and climate action. Picking up on this positive awareness, the German National Tourist Board (GNTB) is relaunching its global lead campaign for sustainability, Simply FEEL GOOD, which features many ideas for sustainable travel.

Simply FEEL GOOD 2023

At the heart of the GNTB campaign is a landing page at germany.travel. This hub for information and inspiration showcases around 140 sustainable travel ideas selected from submissions across Germany. The four clusters ‘Discover’, ‘Enjoy’, ‘Stay overnight’ and ‘On tour’ make it easier to navigate the offerings.

Maps of Germany also link to other sustainable travel ideas on the relevant web pages of the 16 federal states, and to accommodation certified by at least one of the 17 recognised sustainability schemes.

An accompanying FEEL GOOD video provides further inspiration. The GNTB is also promoting the campaign on social media and via native advertising and search engine advertising, as well as in market-specific newsletters, at events and during press and PR activities.

Deutsche Bahn – comprehensive commitment to sustainability

As a Premium Partner, Deutsche Bahn is heavily involved in delivering the Simply FEEL GOOD campaign. The company, Germany’s national rail provider, has initiated numerous measures to protect the climate, nature and resources, reduce noise pollution and meet its sustainability goals.
