News / Relax, Reset, Ready to Fly: Virgin Atlantic reveals revamped Heathrow Clubhouse
The new space features a cinema area, work pods and a Royal Box VIP area, as well as a refreshed gallery

Virgin Atlantic is delighted to unveil its refreshed Clubhouse at London Heathrow following the first phase of a redesign and refurbishment. Enhancing the experience on the ground for Upper Class customers the new space offers a new cinema area, work pods, a new Royal Box VIP area and a refreshed Gallery space bringing together elevated comfort, modern style and a sense of calm before you fly.
For guests seeking a moment of wellbeing before take-off, two luxurious new pop-up wellness experiences have arrived in the Clubhouse. Three self-guided Somadomes offer immersive meditation designed to calm and reset, while a new partnership with Secret Spa introduces a curated menu of dreamy treatments. Together, they create the perfect opportunity to relax, refresh and feel ready to fly.
The Royal Box: Fit for a Queen
Designed to be “the best seats in the house,” the Royal Box delivers a bold, theatrical take on the VIP experience, first launched in thr new Los Angeles Clubhouse. Unapologetically dressed in the signature red, it immerses guests in the world of Virgin Atlantic, blending nods to pop and cultural royalty with the iconic heritage.
This invitation-only space offers a private retreat away from the wider lounge, complete with uninterrupted runway views. At its centre, the “Cabinet of Curiosities” takes the spotlight - a bespoke table built for discovery, surprise and delight. From indulgent sweet treats to celebratory champagne moments, an evolving offering with always something new to uncover.
Studio work pods: The Townhouse and The Manor
To make sure guests can work just as effortlessly as they rest and play, the airline has introduced two dedicated Work Pod studios. Styled as a tribute to Virgin Records - The Townhouse, the first London studio, and The Manor, the pioneering experimental recording studio - each space features studio-inspired artwork, integrated power, a stylish desk setup and “on air” signs that light up when the space is in use. They’re perfectly designed for productivity, with a backdrop that’s just as ready for your next big idea as it is for that all-important selfie.
The Gallery: Elevated views, elevated design
The most sought-after space in the Clubhouse, the Gallery has been reimagined to enhance its panoramic runway views. Designed to maximise space, it allows more guests to enjoy one of the Clubhouse’s most loved settings, with a range of seating suited to business travellers, groups and couples. Inspired by the rhythm and character of London, the space features subtle references to the city’s transport heritage, alongside signature Virgin Atlantic touches - from warm brass tailfin accents to pops of red and details inspired by the Vivienne Westwood uniform. The Gallery lives up to its name, showcasing a curated collation of commissioned artworks by UK and London-based artists, including a standout piece crafted from the retired Vera inflight magazine and a piece sourced via Artbox London, a charity supporting artists with autism and learning disabilities.
Custom lighting, handcrafted in the UK and inspired by thr iconic livery red, adds warmth and atmosphere, complemented by integrated planting and acoustic treatments to enhance comfort. Seamlessly integrated power and discreet baggage storage ensure the space is as practical as it is considered.
The Cinema: Lights, lounge, action
A firm favourite in the Clubhouse, the Cinema has been reimagined as a warm, contemporary and intimate screening space, inspired by London’s members’ clubs and Soho’s private screening rooms. Designed as a place to switch off and unwind, it offers a more immersive, studio-like environment. Uplifted lighting frames the screens, while acoustic wall panels enhance sound quality and deepen the sense of escape. Enhanced seating includes integrated charging points, TV access and Bluetooth headphones making it ideal for both solo travellers and groups alike .
The future of wellness at the Clubhouse
Two new pop-up wellness experiences have arrived in the Clubhouse, designed to gather customer insight and feedback as the airline shape the future wellbeing proposition.
Until 31st May 2026, guests can experience a complimentary session in one of three Somadomes, the world’s first immersive wellness dome. The self-guided light therapy and meditation domes deliver calm, focus and mental reset in just 20 minutes. Each private cocoon combines colour and light therapy, sound healing, binaural beats and guided meditation to create a deeply restorative pause before take-off.
The airline has also partnered with Secret Spa, bringing expert, on-demand wellbeing to the Clubhouse with an elevated menu of express massages, glow-boosting facials, manicures and express treatments until 30th April. There are expert therapists on hand using OSKIA skincare, OPI nail products as well as up and coming K-beauty brands for a limited period, to celebrate the airline’s new service to Seoul. Customers can book via the Secret Spa team at the Clubhouse and arrive at the gate feeling relaxed, refreshed and ready to fly.
