New summer route connecting London Gatwick to Newquay will launch this summer

easyJet has announced it will operate flights between London Gatwick and Newquay this summer.

The inaugural flight will take off on 23 June 2026 and operate twice weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

The new route will strengthen direct domestic connectivity between London and the South East and Newquay, whether for a coastal getaway, visiting friends and family, or onward connections across Europe and beyond, while also supporting Cornwall’s visitor economy for those looking to explore everything the region has to offer.

Earlier this week, the airline launched its 11th UK base and continues to grow across the UK regions, with eight new Airbus A320 family aircraft joining its UK-based fleet in Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, Liverpool, Glasgow and Newcastle. This growth is strengthening vital UK connectivity for both holidaymakers and the more than five million customers travelling for business, while supporting thousands of jobs.

Since 2023, easyJet has grown by nearly a third (31%) at its regional bases, offering more than 200 additional routes and providing UK travellers with even greater choice and value from their local airports.

easyJet was founded 30 years ago and since then it has flown over 800 million customers to and from the UK. easyJet is the largest UK airline and serves 22 UK airports offering flights and package holidays across more than 650 routes to nearly 140 destinations across Europe, North Africa and employs c.12,000 people across England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
