St. Kitts Tourism Authority
Tourism is building back at a very encouraging pace in St. Kitts

Tourism is building back at a very encouraging pace in St. Kitts, and the island’s well known restaurant scene is seeing a vibrancy and renewal. A trip last Friday night to the iconic “Strip” at Frigate Bay revealed all restaurants open and serving both tourists and locals alike. Earlier in the week saw Spice Mill and Marshalls- two of the island’s most popular fine dining spots- quite busy- but with strict adherence to social distancing and covid protocols.

Over in Nevis the gorgeously landscaped patio at Golden Rock was bustling with fresh lobster sandwiches and freshly made soups seemingly the most popular choices with the lunchtime crowd, while over at “Sunshines”, the master of the Killer Bee cocktail himself was holding court and posing for pictures with visitors (Insider’s tip- maybe just stick with one Killer Bee…the delicious cocktail is known to creep up on you!!)

Obviously, it has been a challenging series of winters for the restauranteurs, but with the guidance of the Tourism Authority, strict covid safety protocols were put into place to allow dining halls and patios to be open for tourism- and be approved for opening.

The Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis has long been known for its vibrant and diverse dining scene- from white table cloth to authentic local digs on the beach. Many say that culinary defines this destination and is a primary reason for its growing popularity with Canadian travellers

Watch soon for the release of the new St. Kitts dining guide coming in May.
