Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises have reported record-breaking booking days following the Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend

Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises, both part of the Royal Caribbean Group, have reported record-breaking booking days following the Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend.

This marks the third time Royal Caribbean has broken its single largest booking day record in 2022, with this past Black Friday being its biggest ever in its 53-year history. The day also capped the company’s highest volume booking week ever, which comes on the heels of the record-breaking booking day for the highly anticipated Icon of the Seas, set to debut in January 2024.

Celebrity Cruises also posted its single largest booking day ever on Black Friday, followed by its strongest Cyber Monday in history, both of which followed the delivery of the new Celebrity Beyond last month.

The record-high sales performance follows Celebrity’s launch of its new ‘Journey WonderFULL’ campaign and the Celebrity Beyond, which ship Godmother Simone Biles overseeing the special naming ceremony. Guests who booked during the record-breaking weekend locked in vacations on brand new itineraries that include first-ever homeports for some of Celebrity’s award-winning Edge Series ships, new year-round offerings in Europe with new ports, and new overnights and double overnights.
