The St. Maarten Tourism Bureau is thrilled to announce an exceptional lineup of new attractions, culinary experiences, and resort enhancements for the 2025-2026 high season. From luxurious accommodations to innovative dining concepts and thrilling water activities, the Friendly Island continues to evolve as a premier Caribbean destination.

 

Elevated accommodations & hospitality

Several of St. Maarten's beloved resorts have undergone significant enhancements to provide guests with an elevated Caribbean experience. The Atrium Beach Resort and Spa has completed a comprehensive renovation featuring upgraded guest rooms with modern amenities, new sleeper sofas, contemporary kitchen appliances, and a fully renovated pool area. The property's recent partnership with Choice Hotels brings added value and comfort to every stay.

Sonesta Maho Resort has expanded its offerings with an upgraded Convention Center, the introduction of the Ultimate Couples Package and Suite Honeymoon Package, plus the debut of Cloud9, a luxurious adults-only rooftop bar featuring stunning ocean views.

History comes alive this December as Pasture Piece Plantation House officially reopens following an extensive restoration. The 1800s Richardson family estate now serves as a boutique bed and breakfast, museum, and elegant event venue, offering heritage-inspired accommodations and signature experiences including a Heritage Christmas Market and Afternoon Tea Parties.

Additional property updates include newly renovated beachfront units at Divi Little Bay Beach Resort, a modernized rooftop fitness facility at Commodore Suites, and The Morgan Resort's grand reopening featuring a brand-new pool and exciting retail additions.

 

Culinary innovation

Food enthusiasts will find fresh reasons to explore St. Maarten's diverse culinary landscape. Oyster Bay Beach Resort announces a prestigious collaboration with Sicilian chefs from Osteria Il Principe e Il Pirata, recognized by the Michelin Guide, bringing authentic Pantellerian cuisine to the island's oceanfront Infinity Restaurant from November through Spring 2026.

Pasanggrahan Boutique Hotel, St. Maarten's oldest hotel, reopens its restaurant in October with refreshed menus blending local flavors and elegant presentation. Seaview Beach Hotel introduces the DoubleDutch Koffiehuis, serving fresh coffee and treats daily, while The Morgan Resort debuts Sweetspot Bakery, featuring daily-baked pastries, homemade chocolates, and artisanal treats.

For an immersive experience, The Rusty Parrot'sv popular "Make Your Own Rum" workshop allows visitors to blend unique flavors and create personalized rum. K Beach Club enhances its beachfront dining with new menu items and upgraded beach furniture for ultimate relaxation.

Mark your calendars for June, as St. Maarten Flavors returns with month-long fixed-price specials at over 30 restaurants, showcasing the island's remarkable culinary diversity.

 

Arts, culture & community

St. Maarten's vibrant arts scene continues to flourish with the completion of an immersive "underwater alleyway" mural in Philipsburg. Created by local artists supported by the Be the Change Foundation, the installation features educational elements and QR codes, blending artistic expression with marine conservation awareness.

 

Adventure & activities

Water enthusiasts can experience the island from new perspectives with Private Yacht Charter's 2.5-hour sunset cruise launching November 1st, offering luxurious views of St. Maarten's stunning coastline. Dive Sint Maarten now offers monthly night dives for certified divers, plus two-tank dives to St. Barths and introductory Discover Scuba experiences.

The island's sporting calendar includes marquee events such as the 46th St. Maarten Heineken Regatta (March 5-8, 2026) and the return of The Caribbean Multihull Challenge, both attracting world-class sailors and enthusiastic spectators. SXM Padel Club hosts the International Senior Padel Tournament for the fourth consecutive year (December 11-14), demonstrating the sport's growing popularity on the island.

 

Enhanced travel convenience

Air Canada will complement their seasonal service with a year-round flight from Toronto to St. Maarten, departing on Saturdays and Thursdays, beginning in May 2026. Princess Juliana International Airport elevates the arrival experience with a new in-terminal supermarket and an upgraded FBO building for private jet travelers, both opening in time for high season. National carrier Winair celebrates its 65th anniversary in 2026 with a relocated ticket office in the airport departure hall and the introduction of Prime service, offering maximum flexibility and priority airport services.

Bobby's Marina nears completion of its new lighthouse, enhancing navigation safety while adding a distinctive landmark to the waterfront.

 

Special offers & opportunities

The St. Maarten Hospitality & Trade Association has launched StMaartenAuction.com, allowing visitors and residents to bid on activities, hotel stays, dining experiences, and retail items starting at 50% of market value.
