While Cancun’s established hotel brands offer endless fun and memorable dining and experiences, two soon-to-open hotels are ready to expand the appeal of one of Mexico’s most popular destinations.

 

Kempinski Hotel Cancun

An opulent option on the Riviera Maya, this recently updated five-star hotel is a tranquil paradise with luxurious amenities. Ushered into the elegant surroundings by the Lady and Gentleman in Red, the signature Kempinski hosts, guests are provided personalized service and advice regarding on-property services and nearby attractions.

There are 363 rooms and suites, decorated in an elegant neutral palette. Upgrade to the club or suite rooms for additional benefits like access to the club lounge and daily perks. Indulge in Kayanta Spa’s customized therapies featuring indigenous Mayan ingredients or reserve a beach villa, with all the indulgences for up to four adults on the hotel’s 1200 feet of white sand beach. Choose from six dining options such as the beachside Casitas, casual El Café Mexicano or fine dining at five diamond Fantino.

Margaritaville Island Reserve Resort Riviera Cancun  

Welcome to casual luxury found within the first Margaritaville all-inclusive resort on Mexico’s Riviera Maya. With décor inspired by maritime culture and the sea, sand and sky, the 148 guest rooms and suites feature a playful tropical vibe with a wide variety of amenities including in-room bar experience and private terrace. Hyatt Vivid Grand Island

Opening in April 2024, this all-suite resort hotel will be the first Vivid hotel in Hyatt’s Inclusive Collection portfolio. With a multitude of guest room options within the 400 suites, couples, friends and solo travellers will welcome the laid-back luxury of this hotel.

With three pools including a rooftop pool, six bars, nearby beach club and 11 dining options including Italian, French, Mediterranean and Japanese cuisines, there will also be a fitness centre with daily classes, spa and golf. This resort will be adjacent to the new Dreams Grand Island, with 616 luxury family resort, opening in 2024.

Hotel Riu Caribe

Nestled on the Caribbean coast, recently-renovated all-inclusive Hotel Riu Caribe offers numerous fun-filled activities. With 500 rooms with beach views, clients can benefit from double rooms for a multi-gen trip or adults-only rooms with private pool or jacuzzi.

Gastronomy options include Pepe’s Grill, and five a la carte options including a steakhouse, Mexican and Asian.

With four swimming pools, including a dedicated children’s pool and an adults-only zone for Riu theme parties, there’s also daily doses of entertainment for kids and adults. With one of the largest waterparks in the Caribbean, this Autograph Collection Hotel features 1,005 suites.

This all-inclusive resort includes endless temptations: supervised kids club, bowling and laser tag, water park with 10 monster slides, two lazy rivers, spray grounds and splash pads. A multitude of room categories will make this amenable to solo travellers, multi-gen vacationers, friends or couples.
