News / Costa celebrates the success of the cruise dedicated to its most loyal guests and announces its special 2027 cruise
From the magic of the Northern Lights in 2026, among the Norwegian fjords and the Arctic Circle, to the atmosphere of the Mediterranean: in 2027, the Club Cruise will set out to discover the Golden Islands

Some people travel to reach a destination. Others travel to share emotions, passions and memories with a community that feels like their own. That is the spirit of the C|Club Cruise, the annual event Costa Cruises dedicates to its most loyal guests. This year, it took them to discover the magic of Northern Europe on board Costa Favolosa.
The exclusive new itinerary, "Chasing the Northern Lights", spent two weeks beyond the Arctic Circle calling at Bergen, Narvik and Kristiansand, with overnight stays in Trondheim and in Hammerfest, one of the northernmost towns in the world. The cruise lived up to its name: guests on board saw the spectacular Aurora on five nights in a row.
The 2026 edition sailed from Hamburg from 5 to 19 October. It was also the occasion to unveil the next chapter of this special cruise. Costa announced the C|Club Cruise 2027, which will run from 1 to 15 October next year, again on-board Costa Favolosa. The cruise will take guests through the Western Mediterranean to discover the Golden Islands: Elba, Sicily, the Egadi Islands, Sardinia, Ibiza and Palma de Mallorca. These islands are known for their vibrant atmosphere, crystal-clear waters and breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. The itinerary also includes major ports of call such as Naples, Civitavecchia, Barcelona and Marseille. It will also feature spectacular Sea Destinations, experiences enjoyed at sea: a golden sunset over the Faraglioni in Capri Bay, golden hour in Aranci Gulf, and stargazing from the darkest point of the Balearic Sea.
This vision shaped the program of the 2026 Club Cruise, which took guests on a journey through Nordic landscapes, local culture and outstanding cuisine. On board, members enjoyed a unique culinary experience with three Michelin-starred chefs together: Bruno Barbieri, Hélène Darroze and Ángel León. The chefs led exclusive activities, special moments and surprises created for the occasion. For the 2026 Club Cruise, they also created special Destination Dishes inspired by the ports on the itinerary. These came with a full calendar of events reserved for Club members and available only on this cruise.
The program also included many themed events and parties. Highlights were the Sparkling Glam Party, inspired by the magic of the Northern Lights, an elegant Gala Night, the Black & Gold Party and the Winter Party. The Elegant Tea, given a Nordic twist for the occasion, was also very popular. The special guest of the 2026 edition was Mario Biondi, one of Italy's most internationally acclaimed artists. With his unmistakable style and a repertoire spanning soul, jazz and pop, he gave guests an exclusive performance as part of the cruise's special program. The experience was rounded off by excursions to the fjords and Nordic villages, and by a talk with long-serving crew members, including a Captain and a Hotel Director, who helped build the bond between Costa and its most loyal guests over the years.
New for the 2026 C|Club Cruise was a series of exclusive Land Experiences to discover the most authentic side of the North. Guests could relax with floating and sauna sessions overlooking the Trondheim fjords and enjoy local tastings at the charming Røkenes Gård. They could also explore traditional crafts on Kvaløya, join excursions to see the Northern Lights and meet Sámi culture at Kvernmo. These experiences were designed to bring guests into closer, more authentic contact with the region and its cultures.
