Ireland has removed all COVID-19 travel restrictions as of March 6, 2022.

Visitors are no longer required to complete a passenger location form to travel, provide proof of vaccination or recovery, or take a COVID-19 test for entry into the country.

However, all passengers to who plan to transit through Ireland to visit Northern Ireland are still required to follow U.K. travel requirements, including completing a United Kingdom Passenger Locator Form, available here.

Following the examples of other European countries, authorities in Ireland have also lifted the majority of COVID-19 restrictions in an effort to aid industries recover from the pandemic, particularly the travel and tourism sector.

The news comes on the heels of the European Council recommending its member nations to lift all testing and quarantine requirements for fully vaccinated travellers. While the recommendation is non-binding, meaning each country is free to set its own rules, many EU members have already eliminated most of their travel restrictions, including France, Switzerland and Germany.
