In response to continued demand from customers looking to visit magical winter wonderlands across Europe

Just months after expanding their Christmas markets programme for Winter 2026/2027, Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks are announcing further good news for next winter, after putting two new Christmas market destinations on sale now.

In response to continued demand from customers looking to visit magical winter wonderlands across Europe, the leading leisure airline and UK’s largest operator of European city breaks have now introduced Strasbourg and Colmar to their collection of Christmas market destinations for Winter 2026/2027.

The expansion means that Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks will operate their biggest ever Christmas markets programme next winter with more choice and flexibility than ever before.

Customers can take off to the new festive favourites from next winter with Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks operating flights and city breaks from late November until the week before Christmas, perfectly timed for the festive season.

Two weekly services will operate to Strasbourg from Edinburgh, Manchester and London Stansted (full details of the flying programme are provided below), giving holidaymakers the opportunity to explore one of the oldest Christmas markets in Europe.

The flying programme to Strasbourg per base is as follows:

Edinburgh Airport –two weekly Monday and Friday services operating from 27th November to 21st December. This route is exclusive to Jet2.

  • Edinburgh Airport –two weekly Monday and Friday services operating from 27th November to 21st December. This route is exclusive to Jet2.
  • Manchester Airport -two weekly Thursday and Sunday services operating from 26th November to 20th December.

Situated in the heart of the Alsace region in north-eastern France, Strasbourg has a charming blend of French and German influences. Known for its iconic half-timbered houses, picturesque canals, and magnificent Gothic cathedral, Strasbourg’s medieval charisma and rich history make it a picturesque city break. The historic old town, Grande Île, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site, transforms into a festive wonderland from late November to late December, with its Christmas market dating back to 1570.

For Colmar, customers will fly into Strasbourg and then make their own way via train to the fairytale destination.

The town of Colmar transforms into one of Europe’s most enchanting holiday destinations, from late November through to December, with its cobbled streets, and canals glowing under thousands of festive lights. Colmar hosts several smaller Christmas markets scattered throughout the old town, allowing visitors to linger, explore, and absorb the festive details.

Customers travelling to these two new destinations with Jet2CityBreaks will be able to choose from a choice of 2+ to 5-star hotels in Strasbourg and accommodation options in Colmar ranging from 3 to 4*.

As a result of this most recent expansion, Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks will operate to 15 Christmas market destinations for Winter 2026/2027 – Barcelona, Bratislava, Berlin, Budapest, Colmar, Cologne, Copenhagen, Gdansk, Krakow, Malmo, Paris, Prague, Strasbourg, Tallinn and Vienna from across 13 of their UK airport bases (Belfast International, Birmingham, Bournemouth, Bristol, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Liverpool John Lennon, London Gatwick, London Stansted, Manchester and Newcastle International) from November 2026 to January 2027.

Customers booking Christmas markets getaways can choose from a flight-only option with Jet2.com or an ATOL protected package holiday with Jet2CityBreaks available for a low £60 per person deposit.

Package options with Jet2CityBreaks include return flights with Jet2.com including 22kg baggage and 10kg hand luggage, as well as a choice of 2-5 star hotels in central locations, providing the perfect base from which to explore and experience the best Christmas market destinations in Europe.
