Due to the continuing uncertainty of the situation in the Middle East and airspace instability, BA has had to temporarily reduce the flying schedule in the region. British Airways is keeping the situation under constant review and are in touch with the customers to offer them a range of options.

Since the situation in the Middle East began, British Airways has helped thousands of customers return home including operating eight relief flights from Muscat in Oman. These flights have now paused but will be kept under continuous review.

Due to the continuing uncertainty of the situation in the Middle East and airspace instability, British Airways  has had to temporarily reduce flying schedule in the region. The airline has cancelled all flights to and from Amman, Bahrain, Doha, Dubai and Tel Aviv until later this month and to and from Abu Dhabi until later this year. British Airways is keeping the situation under constant review and are in touch with the customers to offer them a range of options.

British Airways has limited seats remaining on the repatriation flights from Oman (Muscat) to London Heathrow on 11 and 12 March for customers with an existing booking. Following these dates, the flights will pause due to reduced demand but will be kept under continuous review.

British Airways remains unable to operate flights from Abu Dhabi, Amman, Bahrain, Doha, Dubai and Tel Aviv.  

BA has scheduled further flights from Oman (Muscat) to London Heathrow departing at 02:30 local time on 9, 10, 11 and 12 March. These flights are for BA customers who are in Oman or the UAE with an existing booking. If you wish to travel on these flights, please contact BA via the dedicated phone line on +44 203 467 3854. The teams will also be getting in touch with BA customers directly via email. 

British Airways is constantly reviewing the situation and will continue to do everything they can to support customers and colleagues in the region and remain in regular contact with them.  

Please continue to follow the latest safety advice from local authorities and the UK Foreign Office. Please do not travel to the airport unless you have a confirmed booking.

British Airways’ flight from Muscat, Oman, on 8 March is now fully booked. British Airways is constantly reviewing the situation and will continue to do everything it can to support customers and colleagues in the region, and if British Airways is able to, they will add additional services.

Flights from Muscat on 05, 06, 07 March are now fully booked. British Airways will continue to review the situation and if they are able to, the airline will add additional services.

British Airways remains unable to operate flights from Abu Dhabi, Amman, Bahrain, Doha, Dubai and Tel Aviv.

The UK Government advice has now been updated to note that: “commercial options are available to depart the region, and if your presence in the UAE is not essential, you may wish to consider departing, if you judge you can access these options safely”.

British Airways has scheduled further flights from Oman (Muscat) to London Heathrow departing on 6 and 7 March. Flights are for BA customers with an existing booking who are in Oman or the UAE. If you wish to travel on one of these flights, please contact BA via dedicated phone line on +44 203 467 3854. The teams will also be getting in touch with BA customers directly via email.

British Airways currently remains unable to operate flights from destinations including Dubai, Doha, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Amman, and Tel Aviv. British Airways is continuing to do everything they can to support customers and colleagues in the region and are in regular contact with them.

BA is aware that a number of the customers are now in Oman, where the airspace is currently open. Working with the relevant authorities British Airways has been able to schedule a flight from Muscat to London, departing at 02:30 local time on 5 March.

Existing customers who are in Oman can let BA know they wish to travel on this flight via a dedicated phone line: +44 203 467 3854.

British Airways is closely monitoring the situation and have cancelled a number of flights to the Middle East. The airline understands it is a difficult time for customers in affected destinations and BA is in contact with them to offer reassurance and support. Safety is British Airways' top priority and the airline will only operate a flight if it is safe to do so.

If you are due to fly between London Heathrow and Abu Dhabi, Amman, Bahrain, Doha, Dubai or Tel Aviv up to and including 15 March, you can change your flight date free of charge to travel on or before 29 March. Customers travelling up to and including 8 March may also request a full refund in Manage My Booking.

If you are travelling between London and Larnaca on or before 15 March, you can change your flight date free of charge to travel on or before 29 March.

All other flights are continuing to operate as normal. Please check your flight status for the latest information before you travel.
