News / Ryanair unveils its 2026 summer schedule for the Balearic Islands
Three new routes from Palma and 8% growth in Ibiza

Ryanair announced its 2026 summer flight schedule for the Balearic Islands, which includes three new routes from Palma and additional flights from Palma and Ibiza to the most popular destinations, offering residents and visitors more options at the lowest fares in Europe.
Ryanair will offer 79 routes from Palma, including three new connections to Friedrichshafen (Germany), Gdansk (Poland), and Malta, as well as additional flights to Naples, Warsaw, Zagreb, and many other popular destinations, reaching a total of 715 weekly frequencies this summer—a 2% increase compared to last year. This flight schedule will be operated largely by Ryanair’s 16 aircraft based in Palma, representing an investment of $1.6 billion, supporting more than 6,900 local jobs, and strengthening Palma’s connectivity with domestic and international destinations.
From Ibiza, Ryanair will operate 33 routes and 226 weekly flights, with additional capacity on routes such as London, Marseille, and Rome, among others, representing an 8% increase this summer. Meanwhile, Ryanair’s summer schedule in Menorca will offer 18 routes and a total of 90 weekly flights, connecting the island with mainland Spain and Europe at the lowest fares.
| New Routes | Weekly Flights |
| Friedrichshafen | 3 |
| Gdansk | 2 |
| Malta | 2 |
While Ryanair remains committed to the Balearic Islands, the Spanish tourism sector finds itself at a crossroads in the face of Aena’s proposal to increase airport fees by 21% over five years. Spain needs low-cost facilities and competitive prices to attract investment and foster airline growth. However, Aena offers only luxury infrastructure and excessive fees that undermine the country’s competitiveness. Ryanair rejects these highly detrimental policies, which only benefit Aena’s monopoly, and calls on the CNMC and the Ministry of Transport to reduce airport fees and protect connectivity, tourism, and employment in Spain.
Ryanair’s full summer 2026 schedule is now available for booking on Ryanair.com and the Ryanair app, with flights to and from the Balearic Islands starting at just €25.99 for travel through October, when booked by Wednesday, April 22, 2026*.
Ryanair’s 2026 summer schedule for the Balearic Islands, featuring 79 routes from Palma, 33 from Ibiza, and 18 from Menorca, including three exciting new destinations from Palma: Friedrichshafen (Germany), Gdańsk (Poland), and Malta. They are also adding additional flights to the schedules from Palma and Ibiza, increasing the capacity by 2% and 8% respectively, offering the customers even more options at the lowest fares.
Despite Aena’s excessive fees, which have made flights from other Spanish regions far too expensive and contributed to a loss of 1.2 million seats during the summer season, Ryanair remains committed to the Balearic Islands, adding more flights and new routes in response to strong demand from domestic and international visitors. However, if Aena’s proposal to increase fees by another 21% by 2031 is approved, this will further harm air connectivity, tourism, and employment across Spain, as airlines’ capacity will inevitably shift to lower-cost airports elsewhere in Europe.
