Every year, between the end of October and the middle of November, the Cory's shearwater seabirds take their first flight, when the chicks leave their nests and head towards the ocean, guided by the moonlight and the stars. But this fascinating species struggles with light pollution along the coast, which blinds and disorients them.

This year, Spring Hotels has once again implemented a series of protective measures to help the birds at their most vulnerable time. These measures, carried out under the Spring Ozone brand, have included steps such as reducing exterior lighting, as well as distributing educational posters and providing Spring Hotels' team of staff and clients with the tools necessary to act if a lost chick is found.
