On the 16th September 1987, the Montreal Protocol was signed, a landmark event that allowed the degradation of the Earth’s precious ozone layer to be stopped by addressing the root cause of the issue. In honour of this, every year on September 16th, Spring Hotels celebrates International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer, a perfect reminder that, if the will to change exists, regeneration is possible.

Today, more than 35 years have passed since that historic event, but, Spring Hotels continues to commemorate that commitment to the environment, and it is what has led the company to create Spring Ozone, a Strategic Sustainability Plan that includes all the many different areas of Spring Hotels and allows the company to look to the future with the goals of promoting sustainable tourism and maintaining their commitment to nature conservation.
